RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Dato' Jeffri Salim Davidson is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Sime Darby Berhad and was appointed to the Board of Sime Darby Berhad on 1 December 2017.
- Dato' Jeffri began his career with Coopers & Lybrand, London, United Kingdom in 1986. He joined Sime Darby in 1992 as an Accountant and has held various senior finance roles until 1996 including as the Finance Manager of Sime Rengo Packaging Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Sime Darby.
- In 2004, he returned to Sime Darby as the Finance Director of Tractors Malaysia Holdings Berhad in the Industrial Division of Sime Darby, responsible for the finance function of the Division's regional operations in Malaysia, Singapore and China. In 2007, he was posted to Hong Kong as the Managing Director of The China Engineers, Limited and subsequently to Guangzhou, China, responsible for Sime Darby Industrial's Caterpillar distribution business in southern China and Xinjiang. In May 2014, the power systems business was added to Dato' Jeffri's portfolio. The power systems business supplies engines and provides after sales support and solutions largely to the marine, oil & gas and energy industries. It has significant operations in Singapore, China and Malaysia.
- Dato' Jeffri was the Senior Vice President, China, Singapore & Power Systems, Industrial Division from 2014 to 2016 before he assumed the role as the Deputy Group Chief Financial Officer of Sime Darby in 2016.
- Dato' Jeffri is currently a Director of Kumpulan Sime Darby Berhad, Sime Darby Holdings Berhad, Sime Darby Malaysia Berhad and several other private limited companies under the Sime Darby Group. He is also a Director of Yayasan Kecemerlangan Sukan Malaysia, a Council Member of Yayasan Sime Darby and The Outward Bound Trust of Malaysia, and a Member of Majlis Pekerjaan Negara.
